Happy Birthday to Brynn! My dear friend Brynn is turning 30 today! So in celebration of her birthday we are having a blog hop! You should have come from her site Flair and Frills.  She has the complete line up if you get lost along the way.  If you have not been there yet, please make sure you make it there because she is having major blog candy. I started by stamping the Cupcake background from Pink By Design Stamps. I heat embossed it in an opaque magenta powder from Ranger.

Next I took my Copic Spica pen in Pitch Black and colored in all the small details of the cupcakes.  It is hard to see in the pics but in real life, it looks fabulous!

I mounted the background to the card.  I added ribbons to the sides.

I stamped "Hey Cupcake" from Rock On from Pink By Designs. I added 4 rhinestones to the corners.

My last step was to cut and assemble the cupcake. I cut this cupcake at 2.41 inches from Cake Basics Cricut Cartridge with the base shadow, top layer, and detail of the cupcake holder.

Isn't it so yummy!?!

Olive Madness!

I am sharing this project today at the Pink By Design Blog.  If you have not been there to check it out, you are missing out! There is an active community with challenges and inspiration.
For the background I used Olive Juice. I used Versamark and then heat embossed a Verdigris green powder.
Then I started to fill each "Olive" with Xmas Red Stickles.
 Isn't is awesome!?!?
Then I cut my images from my Cricut.  I made this file on my Gypsy using Doodlecharms. The free Gypsy file is available for download below. I cut the Martini glass from Acetate.
Then I took an embossing ink re-inker and wet the acetate on the bottom of the glass.  I sprinkled Silver Tinsel Embossing Powder and Coarse Clear Embossing Powder.
I heated the powder gently.  When heating acetate, you must emboss slowly and evenly.  It is easy to over heat the acetate and melt it.
Using Tombo Vellum Adhesive I added the assembled glass to the card. I just love this card! So fun! I think these would make great cards for New Years or for a Party Invite.  As always, I appreciate your comments and loyalty! Thank you so much for following.  If you want to download the Gypsy file Please click below.
I have a super busy week.  Tomorrow I am in a blog hop! See ya tomorrow!

Video Tutorial- How to change the sides of a Cricut Imagine

I finally got around to changing the sides of my Imagine to the replacement pink sides I ordered from Cricut.com. James helped me remove the drab, boring, industrial, grey sides and replace them with my flashy, fresh, fun, new pink sides.  We taped the entire process from the beginning!
Here is the link the to video.  I always add this link for my email subscribers since FeedBurner does not always add my video to the email subscription.  If you are viewing this on my blog, there is no need to click this link unless you want to access my You Tube Channel.

Music to My Ears Card

With Father's Day coming I decided I need to make a masculine card for James to put his Father's Day gift in.  See, he reads my blog so I cannot say "what it is".  He may be able to guess from the card but I doubt it!  I am also sharing this card today over at Cricutolics as the June Designer. I am so honored that Liz asked me to design for her community there!
So started by cutting all the images from JT Imagine Cartridge.  The Headphones were cut at 3.0 inches (Layers).  The Scrolling at 3.0 inches (Combined) and the Quote Bubble at 2.0 inches (Combined). I inked all the dges with Rusty Hinge Distress Ink.  The sentiment in the Quote Bubble is from Pink By Design "Rock On".
Next I worked on my base.  This is a n A2.  I inked the edges and inward using Shabby Shutters Distress Ink, Weathered Wood Distress Ink, and Rusty Hinge Distress Ink.
Next I used these little iron on eyelets that I bought in the fabric department at Walmart.  Follwing the instructions, I used my I Rock to heat set the eyelets.  These embellishments are heated form the backside rather than the top like most heat transfer gems. I mounted my sentiment to the card base.
Then using pop dots, I mounted the scrolling.
 Finally adding the Headphones.
This is a such a guy card! I love it! I am partial to more masculine design since I am seriously out numbered in my house!
By mixing and matching the layered images and combined images you can really bring out dimension in any Imagine cut! As always thank you for following and subscribing, and especially a big thank you for taking the time to leave comments! They always make my day!

Save the Tatas Card

Today I am sharing this card both here on my personal blog and at the new Pink By Design Blog.  I had so much fun making this card.
First I started by cutting the eyelet border.  I used Imagine more for this image.  I had trouble seeing the precise size on my Imagine screen.  So I cut 1.2 1.3 and 1.4 inches.  I chose 1.3 inches.  Although 1.3 ia a bit larger than a standard A2, I only had to trim a sliver off each side of the border.
Next I stamped and colored my images.  This bra is from "Save the Tatas" from Pink By Design. I colored them using Prismacolor Pencils and Goo Gone on a blending stump.  To detail the bra, I used a Signo White Pen on the lace.  I then used a Micron Black pen to add back any lost details.
To create the sparkly straps, I used Art Glitter glue and Martha Stewart Ultrafine Glitter in Tourmaline, Feldspar, and Golden Beryl.
While the glitter dried, I cut and embossed my matting with Polka Dots Cuttlebug Folder. I flipped the embossing over so it show the de-bossed or the indented pattern. Reversing the embossing adds a different look to your cuts.
I mounted the matting and stamped the sentiment "Save the Tatas" from Breast Wishes from Pink By Design.
Next I strung the bra straps through some silver twine.
I mounted the twine to the back of the border cut. I added pop dots to add depth.
Finally I separated the and spaced the bras and removed the backing to the pop dots on the back of the bras.
So fun and so cute! I love both of these sets! I hope you like my card and have a fabulous day!
As always thank you for commenting and following me! I have another card for you that I am sharing today too! Lucky you- Double the inspiration!

Wall Decor and More Altered Book

Today I am sharing this book with both my readers and at She's A Sassy Lady.  When I got Wall Decor and More, I almost returned it because I was unsure if  would really use it.  Even though I have used it only a few times, each time I have used it I am pleasantly surprised how much I love it!
Usually my posts have step by step but I was experimenting and did not take step by step photos since I was really doubtful that this project would look so nice.  I hope you forgive me.  I will be working on a tutorial over the next week for everyone.
This book started out as a plain canvas album from Hobby Lobby.  I glazed the paper onto the album using Mod Podge Gloss.  After the glue dried, I inked the glazing with Vintage Photo Distress Ink and stamped with the Script Background stamp from Pink By Design Stamps in Timber Brown Staz On.
I used Core'dinations Gemstones for the paper. All the cuts were inked with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
I used Wall Decor and More, Gypsy Font, and Home Decor.
The flowers and butterfly were in my stash.  The scalloped edge is actually a sticker from Pink Paislee.  I inked the sticker with Vintage Photo Distress Ink.
I did lots of trim on the spine and along the edges.  I hope you are inspired to alter those plain albums and make them a treasure to hold all your memories! As always I appreciate comments, subscribers and followers.  Thank you so much for your continued loyalty.  Tomorrow I will have a double post- one at PBD and at Cricaholics. Hugs!
