Eat Sleep Play- March Madness

Eat Sleep Play- that is the life of an active boy! I made this card to celebrate March Madness.  I live in Kansas and basketball is HUGE around here!
I stamped the sentiment from Pink By Design Stamps "Got Game". I heat embossed the image with black embossing powder. I also used Black Soot Distress Ink to tint the edges of the paper.
I started the card by taking my kraft brown matting and using the the Sew Easy Stitch Piercer and traced a scalloped line.  I hand stitched the line with white floss.
Next I cut the basketball from Sports Mania at 2 inches.  I embossed the basketball using my Cuttlebug folder. I then inked the basketball with Spice Marmalade Distress Ink.  I used pop dots to raise the basketball off the card.
I adhered my Kraft mount to the card base, completing the card.  I hope you enjoyed this card! Make sure you leave a comment and follow me because I am giving away the Cricut Cartridge Calligraphy when I reach 1100 followers!

Faberge Egg Card

I started by stamping my layered stamp 3 times on pink and lavender cardstock.  When I stamped the images, I first stamped with Ranger Distress Embossing Ink and I sprinkled Ranger Ultra Fine Gold heat embossing powder. I used my heat gun to set it. Then I used Sakura Glaze pens to color in the image.
Once my pens dried, I used my scissors to cut the egg into multiple layers.  This is why I stamped 3 times.  Next I used Pop Dots to raise the images stacking from bottom to top.
I used Cuttlebug for the embossing. I also spritzed Glimmer Mist in Pearl on the paper.  This paper is a little on the thin side so it began to buckle a bit under the moisture.  But as it dried, it flattened back out.  I also added a strip of baby pink ribbon to the side of the card using hot glue.

Finally I mounted the egg and base to an A2 card. The dimension on this card is just beautiful.
Make sure you leave comments and follow! When I reach 1100 Followers, I will giveaway the Cricut Cartridge Calligraphy Collection! Have a great day! Tomorrow I have a fun new card using the We R Memory Keepers Sew Easy! Are you crazy for March Madness?

Live Card and Tutorial

Oh how I love new toys! I made this A2 Card using GCD Melody Ross Chip Art Tool Set.  This is my project for this Friday from Stampin' Dymonz.
I stated with Sticky Back Canvas from Ranger in ATC size.
I used Distress Ink in  Frayed Burlap and Rusty Hinge.  I also gave the canvas a quick spritz of Key Lime Glimmer Mist.
While my canvas dried, I started work on the chipboard.  This piece is from Melody Ross Chip Art Chipboard.  When I bought a few pieces of this set, I was wondering how her chipboard varied compared to standard chipboard.  Her chipboard is super smooth and much thicker.  I love it! I lighty misted the chipboard with water.
Then I used the metal dies from Sparrow Uppercase to stamp out "Live".

I colored the chipboard with Spice Marmalade Distress Ink
Then I tinted with Walnut Stain.
I then used PVA to glaze and seal the chipboard.
Next I cut my mats for my card from DCWV Mediterranean Cafe.
I mounted all my mats to the card base.  I removed the sticky back from the canvas and lightly pressed it down.
I added a flower from Prima.  I also took my dried chipboard piece and placed it underneath an Tim Holtz Idealogy Ornate Frame.
Here's a nice close up for you.  I used E6000 to mount the frame to the chipboard.

Mom . . . You Make Me Smile!

This is my Design Team Project for Pink By Designs.  Sarah has released many new background stamps. This one in particular is my favorite.
I started with a Melody Ross Chip Art Tag painted with yellow acrylic paint.  Her Chip Art materials are super thick!  Next I used VersaMark and stamped the background stamp and then used Neon Orage Zing Embossing Powder.  I heat set the powder. Next I used Forest Moss Distress Ink and stamped another set of swirls on top.
I used the Melody Ross Chip Art Tool and stamped some swirls into the tag (In the picture it is really hard to see them.  If you click the photo you maybe able to see them better). I added a spiral flower.  If you'd like to know how I make these, I have added a video. I used Mini Monograms for the scallop shape.

I stamped the sentiment from "Our Mother's" from Pink By Design Stamps in black VersaFine and tied a sheer ribbon to the top.

Good Luck Imagine Card

I made this non-traditional St. Patrick's Day card  for the Flair and Frills St. Patrick's Day Blog Hop. You should have come from Amy at Smooches Stampin'.
If you need the full line up, please the visit my friend and the hostess Brynn at Flair and Frills Creativity.
My love affair with my Imagine is still running HOT!  I hope you like this quickie!  I started by cutting and printing these images from Imagine More.  This cartridge that comes with each Imagine is one of my favorites! I love the color scheme.  Frequently I find myself leaving these images as stock color and I do not alter them.  I cut the images Layered at 3 inches.  I also cut a mat at approximately 2.75 inches by 3.5 inches from DCWV Green Tea.

I mounted the matting to a an A2 cardstock base.
Next I layered the top note shapes and used pop dots to raise the top layer off the base.
Then I adhered the clover to the top note shapes.  I also used some funky, blingy ribbon from Michaels and ran 3 rows across the card.
My last step was to add the "Good Luck" phrase to the base of the card.
Now those of you who are regular readers now my how much I loving inking, but on this card I forced myself to leave it "clean".  Not such an easy task for a Inky Fingers Girl! I love the simplicity of this card.  I hope you have enjoyed my project.  Now make sure you leave a comment and follow or subscribe before going to the next stop so you have a chance to be entered into my BLOG CANDY!
