Partridge in a Pear Tree Card

Today is the kick off at Pink By Design, 12 Days of Christmas.  My day is day 1, Partridge in a Pear Tree.  When we had the chance to sign up for our day, I knew no matter what day I got, I would be using Joys of The Season Cricut Cartridge.
I started with a K and Co stack that I bought at Michaels.  I love the nostaglic feel of this stack.  I chose my papers and did something new for me.  I sewed on the paper a sitiched border.  I am still learning but I think I did a great job for my first time!
Then I stamped the sentiment "Noel" from Old Time Christmas from Pink By Design. I also stamped with the background stamps Swirls and Curls also from Pink By Design.  Both images have been dusted with a pewter metallic embossing powder and heated. I then added a flat ribbon made from red velvet to the base of the card.
Here is a video on how to make the ribbon.  I have posted this video before, but in case you missed it:
This is the link to the video.  I add this link for my email subscribers who may not see the video.  If you are viewing this on my blog, you do not need to click the link unless you want to subscribe to my YouTube channel.
My next step was to cut my images from Joys of The Season.  I cut the image at 4.70 inches (real size off).  I then did some detailing.  I added a small dot for th eye with Gunmetal Stickles.  I added some yellow to the pear with Yellow Stickles. Finally I added some Christmas Green Flower Soft to the branch.
I love the elegance and details that this card has to offer.   The size is and A7 so it is perfect for a greeting card.
I hope you enjoyed my card today and make sure you check with Pink By Design each day for the 12 Days of Christmas.
As for my 2 year Blogiversary giveaway, I will kick that off on Tuesday.  We had no internet over the holiday weekend so I was unable to get that post ready. Thankfully my hubby got everything working! WHEW! That was kind of weird not having internet for 3 days! Have a creative day and I see you tomorrow!
