Dear Santa, For Christmas I want . . . .
More Crafty Supplies! At least that's how mine would go. Tonight I finally got some free time to explore a new cartridge for me, Christmas Wish. I really do love my Imagine. It prints so nicely and the colors are beautiful. The Christmas Wish cartridge will not disappoint you. Normally Pattern cartridges just have colors and patterns. But this one has a box, tags, and this super cute Santa Letter and Envelope.
I started by printing the backside of my white textured cardstock with this built in pattern. I always print the backside of boxes and envelopes. (You will see why in the next few pictures.) I then flipped my paper over and cut the images on Fit To Page. This is the backside after the images were printed and cut.
Next I inked the edges.
I used Iced Spruce Distress Ink. This color is from the new Seasonal Winter collection from Tim Holtz.
For some reason this envelope did not cut any scoremarks. So I used my Martha Stewart Scoreboard and crated my own, so I would have nice even folds.
Next I folded the envelope with sides in first and then the bottom flap folded over the top.
Finally I used Baker's Twine to "dress" my button. I always use twine or hemp to loop through the holes of the button. It adds a perfect finishing touch. Then I tied several passes of baker's twine around the top of the Dear Santa letter.
This is the front. Super cute!!!!
And this is the back! ADORABLE! Wouldn't it be cute to give these to your kids to fill out? Then save them for when they are older as keepsakes?! Maybe even use them in a layout with a picture of that year (of course after they have grown up so the "secret" is not ruined)
Make sure you take a moment a leave a comment! I am giving away the Martha Stewart Birthday Cake Art cartridge. Here's the details:

This is just adorable! I love this and what a wonderful keepsake it will make.
I love the paper "liner" in your envelope. I don't own the Imagine, but I usually make my own envelope liner by hand. The "Iced Spruce" looks great with the colors you printed, too. Thanks for a chance to win.
I'm on the fence about the imagine...but seeing this post makes me want one to create cute little stuff like this for Christmas. Maybe someone will bring me one for Christmas?!?!?! Love the post and thanks for the chance to win.

This is just too too cute. Now you make me wish I had an I but I am saving my pennies for a E2. What a great layout this would make with a picture of the child dropping the letter (an extra copy of coarse) in the Macy's Santa mailbox.
Santa knows I've got the Distressing Inks you used on my wish list...but a Cricut cartridge to ad to my collection would be awesome, too! Awesome project! TFS!
Oh Elizabeth I just love how you lined this. What a wonderful project. TFS, Mary M
