Twilight Mini Album and Files And Videos

A labor of love for sure! I hope you have set aside some time for this post! It's a biggie with lots of videos and pics.  I did not take a picture of each and every page because this mini is actually over 15 pages front and back (30 pages total), but I did take lots for everyone! Without further ado . . . My Twilight Inspired Mini Album.
Twilight Mini Album
The album is made from Ornamental Iron. It is cut at 11.99 inches Real Size Off. The book is bound with binder rings using my 7 Gypsies Binderie. All the patterned paper is from DCWV Immortal Love.
Front Cover
The gates on the covers are both cut from Grungepaper.  First I coated the grungepaper with Silver Paint Dabber from Ranger and then dabbed and blotted Black Soot Crackle Paint from Ranger here and there.  I also dabbed some stickles in Black Diamond, just to add a touch of glimmer.
Back Cover
I tied lots of ribbon to the sides.  Most of the ribbon is from Hobby Lobby but I also have some American Crafts worked in as well. The wrap around band is made with elasticized ribbon.  I hot glued it into a loop and added a jewel to the front from Michaels.
In order to keep my cuts organized I marked the "front" cuts with F and the "back" cuts with B.
Isn't this paper just divine?!? I killed me to cut it but I love the final result.  I cut several sheets of clear acetate to add some depth the album.  Each acetate page has the gate cut on both the front and the back.
The apple is from Makin' the Grade.  I colored the stem brown.  The apple itself was coated in Matte Accents from Ranger.  After it was dried, I crinkled it to make it looked cracked.  Then I brushed Glimmer Glam in Be Positive all over the apple.  I then let it dry.
The Tulip is made from an apple shape from Celebrate with Flourish.
How to Make the New Moon Tulip
If you need a photo tutorial, it is just past the video
Your supplies the make the Tulip are 6 stemless apple shapes, Metal Stylus and shaping Mat, Glimmer Glam in Be Positive, Glimmer Glaze in Flirty, White acrylic paint, D Stress tool, Fringing Scissors or regular scissors, paint brush.
This shape is from Celebrate with Flourish.  This stemless apple could easily be found on other cartridges and just hand trim the stem off. I then used the metal tip Stylus from McGill Paper Blossoms to shape the petals until the paper softens a bit and begins to cup.
Next I begin to stack and overlap the petals using glue.

I keep overlapping until a "cup" is formed with the petals.
Then I used the new D Stress tool from Imaginece to rough up the edges a bit.
Next I took Fringing Scissors and cut fringes along the outside edge of the petals.  If you do not have fringing scissors, hand cut the slits into the flower to create the fringe.
Next fold the flower in half and using Glimmer Glaze in Flirty, brush the flower with the Glimmer Glaze.
Next take Be Postive Glimmer Glam and a brush and apply a nice even coat of Glimmer Glam.  Glimmer Glam need a brush to apply. I just love the sparkle that it adds.
Next take white acrylic paint and coat the bottom of the flower. Lightly streak the white upward.  As the white paint dries, you may need to add an additional coat.  Remember I was recreating the tulip from new Moon.  So I was trying to crate the white and red veining.
After it dries completely, the flower will be firm and 3D.  Until the flower dries the paper maybe really soft. So be sure to handle with care until it is dried.
The ribbon is made from Heritage and Gypsy Wanderings. It has been dipped in UTEE to create a thicker shinier look.
The Chess Pieces are from Gypsy Wanderings
"Sparkle" is from Paper Lace
"Be Safe" is from Calligraphy Collection
"Fire and Ice" is from Reminisce Accents and Calligraphy Collection
"Eternal Love" is from Plantin Schoolbook and Nursery Rhyme.
The Title Fonts are all made from Nursery Rhymes and Plantin Schoolbook.
Here is a video on how I made this altered font.

The Gypsy File
Here is a video on to cut the 2 Gypsy Files to make this complete album.  The cover and pages are one file and the images and fonts are a separate file. As with all Gypsy files, you will need to own the cartridge to cut.
If you only want to cut a particular image, you will only need that one or two cartridges not all the cartridges.  So for instance, if you want to cut the movie titles, you will need Plantin Schoolbook and Nursery Rhyme but will not need Gypsy Wanderings.
The free Gypsy files are available for download below.  I ask that you  please follow me if you download these files.  They have taken a considerable amount of time to create.  So leave me a comment, follow or subscribe and they are yours to create something for yourself.
Please keep in mind my Copyright for files.  They are for personal use only.  If you make something with my files, please link back to my blog.  Please do not give my files away. Thanks!

Hi Elizabeth, I just love your mini! You're it right it is a labour of love. Just beautiful. I have a question to ask though. When cutting your titles out with the grunge paper, did you use a deep cutting blade and if so what were the settings. I have some grunge paper and really am nervous about ruining it to practice with. Thanks so much for sharing.

I have a few friends that I scrap with, I have a few friends who enjoy Twilight, but then I found you, who like both. I would love to download the files. I don't have Nursery Rhymes...so I guess I will have to buy another cart. This is a beautiful project. Thanks sooooo much for sharing.
