Laugh Motivational Layout

I am getting more comfortable with 12 by 12 layouts.  As most of you know, they are a huge challenge to me.  But I am slowly finding a love for them.  I am realizing how much more impact my cuts, embellishments and details can have.  They still take me a long time to do but I will keep trying!
This project started as a 12x12 plain white piece of paper. Here is the transition from Ho-Hum to WOWZERS!
I used my new background stamp in Swirls from Pink By Design. Started with Mustard Seed Distress Ink.
Then I stamped again with Crushed Olive Distress Ink.
Then I stamped with Shabby Shutters Distress Ink.
Next I used Glimmer Mist in Apple, Tuscan Sun, and Jack O' Lantern.
Next I used VeraMark and heat embossed with Gold Embossing powder the swirls.
I also used the Script Background from Pink By Design Stamps in Rusty Hinge to stamp the lower right corner lightly.  Here's a close up of the heat embossing and the stamping.
Next I distressed the edges with my Zutter Ditrezz It All. I inked with Rusty Hinge, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, and Walnut Stain Distress Ink.
Next I used my Cricut and Botanicals Cartridge to cut "Laugh" at 1.39 inches. I ran them upside down through my Xyron to make the tops sticky.  To make sure my adhesive gets on the top nicely, I use a scrapper to rub it down firmly.
Then I sprinkled some olive green microfine glitter from Martha Stewart.
Next I cut the top note shape from Storybook.  I cut it at 8.29 inches. In order to make slide holes for the ribbon, I took a rectangle from Storybook and shrunk it down.  I place 4 of these rectangles onto the shape.  I did not weld them so they would cut a negative out of the top note shape. I stamped with the Swirls Background Stamp again with Peeled Paint and I threaded the ribbon.
Then I used my favorite swirls shape from Home Decor to add dimension to the side.  They were cut at 1.66 inches. I also rolled several spiral flowers with my Imaginisce Petal Roller.
Finally, I adhered "Laugh" to the top note shape and then to the layout with pop dots. I also added some bling!
I adhered all the flowers to the layout.
I love how these swirls compliment the flowers.  The rhinestones are from Imaginisce and the I-Rock.

I have entered this layout into a few challenges.
Cricut Circle Blog Weekly Challenge- Use 3 of the same cut and Spray Ink- I used the swirls from Home Decor and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.
Simon Says Stamp Challenge - Tim Holtz and Anything But A Card- LOTS of Distress Ink and obviously it's not a card.
Here is the file for download.  You will need Storybook, Home Decor, and Botanicals if you want to cut the entire project.
My files are free to download for my followers and subscribers. So make sure your signed up and leave me a comment; then the file is yours. I have been very busy this week! I will be having multiple posts Thursday and Friday, so be sure to keep checking back!

How absolutely beautiful. You do a great job for struggling with 12x12 layouts. Wish I had your struggle. Helps me look at my stamps in a different way.
