I am such a girlie girl! I just love pink so needless to say I really enjoyed making this card.
I started out by embossing with Pearl Paint Dabber from Ranger on an A2 mat with a Cuttlebug folder from Once Upon A Princess Companion Folder. I love this folder! It makes such nice deep impressions and the combination of inking the folder really makes this look so pretty in person. Paint Dabbers are great for inking folders since they wash off nicely and do not go on so thick.
Then i misted the embossed folder with Pashmina Glimmer Mist. The Glimmer Mist soaked in around the Pearl Pant Dabber, creating a resist effect that is just awesome. I then cut from Ornamental Iron the scrolling and its coordinating shadow at 7.0 inches (real size off). These images were filled on the Imagine with patterns from Lori's Garden.
I also cut an additional shadow at 4.50 inches. I stamped the sentiment Pretty In Pink from the All Girl collection from Pink By Design Stamps in Tea Dye Distress Ink and then heat embossed with Pink Glitter Zing powder. I inked all my edges with Worn Lipstick Distress Ink. I love the pinky brown effect layering the Tea Dye Distress ink with the Pink Glitter.
Next I assembled the card, using pop dots on the stamped sentiment layer and on the shadow layer. Whenever I am layering scrolling or lace like images, I use spray adhesive. My favorite is Crafter's Companion Permanent. It is in a red can.
I tied a pink sheer ribbon around my matting and I mounted the matting to an A2 card base.
I hope you enjoyed this card. I know I have been on a roll lately posting. Hopefully I can keep it up! Thanks as always for leaving comments and following. It is very motivating to know people enjoy my work.
