Love Bug Card- Quick and Easy

How about that Blog Hop yesterday?!?  I  am so blessed to know so many talented ladies! I am also so blessed to have you as my readers.  It meant so much to have so many lovely comments about my work.  Needless to say after that project, my studio is a disaster! So when Jenny from Crazy About Cricut suggested a one hour challenge at 11pm on Saturday, I had to move quick!  I usually spend an hour picking my cartridge, paper, and embellishments. The challenge was to use any cartridge or embellishment that you own but have never used in 60 minutes.   Sadly, I have plenty that has never been used!
The lady bug was cut at 2.39 inches (real size off) from Live Simply (never used). I cut all coordinating layers.
I love how easy Lite cartridges layer. I stacked the layers and used my white Signo Gel Pen to embellish so details.  I love adding dots and dashes to cuts.  It really adds depth- QUICKLY!
I then embossed the card base with this folder.  I think it may be Quikcutz, but I know Provo Craft has a Cuttlebug folder just like this.
My next step was to use a piece of cut coaster from Technique Tuesday.  I stamped with Tim Holtz Distress ink Walnut Stain the sentiment "Love Bug" from Go Green from Pink By Design. I inked the edges with Wild Honey and Walnut Stain Distress Ink. I fed some ribbon through the slots and used Terrifically Tacky Tape to adhere the ribbon to the card.
I adhered everything to the card and inked the edges with Wild Honey and Walnut Stain Distress Ink.
Have a great day and don't forget to leave some blog love by commenting or following!

Hi Elizabeth, wow I looooove your card, great detail, I love how you used the white pen. It only goes to show that with things being tight - you don't always have to plaster your cards with loads of overload!! Sometimes less is best because you get to see the finer details on the card. I love ribbons and embellishments but have cut back on how much I use. I am sure I am not the only one, but I still cannot help it when I pass the haberdashery store. Lol.

I love your card. So cute! I think I will have to scraplift (or card lift!)this one. I don't have that cartridge, but I do have Walk in my Garden which has several cute lady bugs.

I like the accents with the white pen. I don't do too much of that, but I may have to start.

Thanks for all your inspiration!

Love your card! And after all the comments you made of the ease of layering I will probably have to purchase a few lite carts... as of yet I haven't. Love the effect with the ribbon. Have a great day!

Hi. Cute simple card. The cuttlebug embossing folder is calling seeing spots. I have that one. Wow, an hour challenge to use a cartridge I never used? I am going to an all day crop this Saturday. I might incorporate this challenge. I am going to make cards using all the carts I have that I have never used. I, like you, have many carts that I had to have but haven't touched! Thanks for the idea and the giveaway.

The ladybug on the leaf is so cut. It is great to see some of the cuts on carts before we buy. I end up with a lot more carts that I want to buy that way. LOL! Thanks
