I made this card for the HSN Anna Griffin Card Making Contest sponsored by ProvoCraft. The challenge was to make a card using one or more of the following cartridges: Don Juan, Wall Decor and More, and Winter Lace. In addition to the cartridge requirements, you are required to use an Anna Griffin product. So I went digging in my stash and found some yummy Anna Griffin Mylar Paper and immediately was inspired to cut the Shoe from Wall Decor and More. This card is a quickie but looks super cute and trendy.
I began by cutting a standard A2 card from white cardstock. I trimmed a piece of the Peyton Collection of Mylar Papers from Anna Griffin to stretch across the front of the card. These papers are partially see through. They cut perfectly on the Cricut. Next I tied a bow across the top of the card. I hot glued two strands of black beads across the bottom.
Finally I cut the shoes from the Card Feature from Wall Decor and More cartridge. It was cut at 5.48 inches. I trimmed the shoe from the card cut and used pop dots to raise it up and add depth.
So quick and easy, but oh so trendy! I sent it in and hopefully I will win. If you would like to enter, time is running out. The contest deadline is January 18, 2011. If you need more info to participate, the event is listed on Cricut Official Page Event list.
As always, I appreciate comments and followers!
